Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra (EPP) succeeded at passing the hearing as the European Parliament gave him the green light.

The EPP, Renew, S&D and Greens majority also stressed the need to add 'taxation' to his title

He was supported by EPP, S&D, Renew, Greens and ECR.
