What has been going on in Mt Albert?
Jacinda Ardern's former seat, the seat of Labour leaders including Helen Clark and David Shearer, looks like it could be moving to National's hands.
This is crazy - because Mt Albert has literally never gone to anyone except for Labour. Since 1946, it has been non-stop Labour in Mt Albert.

But with 30% of votes counted in Mt Albert, National's Melisa Lee is ahead.
She has 5433 votes of the 15000 counted.
Labour's Helen White, who stepped up with Ardern left, has 500 votes - 430 behind.
And third place, Green MP Ricardo Menedez March has 3125 votes.
