Chaotic Winston Peters interview 'intentional'

Green Party co-leader Marama Davidson says Sunday's interview of NZ First leader Winston Peters on Q&A was intentionally chaotic.

"I didn't watch the whole thing. It sounds like it was a bit chaotic. But, for people at home, I know that this is intentional, to make him look like he's anti-establishment and anti-media, because that's supposed to appeal to people," Davidson said on Breakfast on Monday.

Speaking on AM on Monday, Peters said he had been asked to appear on Q&A to discuss four matters, and they were barely covered. "That's the deceit."

The whole thing was a  "jack up", Peters said.

He had been subject to a personal attack that "went on and on and on and on".

Peters was also asked about an interview during the weekend on Newshub with Rececca Wright.

Peters said ageistic, nasty comments made by Wright at the end of the interview were "shocking".
