Labour's Tangi Utikere is now asking questions of Transport Minister Simeon Brown.

Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown has said he will have to stop work on some transport projects as a result of the government's decision to cancel the regional fuel tax, the income of which would've been used on a number of projects. Utikere asked what the minister plans to do about this.

In his response, Brown mentioned priority transport projects would still go ahead, and that spending would not be as wasteful as when under Labour, mentioning "$500,000 speed bump".

Julie Anne Genter raised a point of order asking for evidence for the speed bump, and Brown said he would table a document showing a speed bump which cost $490,000.
