Zeidler, van Dorp, Mackintosh take singles medals
Germany's Oliver Zeidler defends his men's single sculls title, with the Netherlands' Simon van Dorp and Kiwi Thomas Mackintosh winning silver and bronze. Mackintosh takes the medal on the line, just holding off a sprint by Greek Olympic champion Stefanos Ntouskos.
The minor medals are even more impressive given that van Dorp and Mackintosh both got into the single fairly recently - van Dorp moving from the men's quadruple sculls, and Mackintosh returning after a break following his Tokyo 2020 gold medal in the men's eight.
